Ursula Lang, MD, PhD
Physician-Scientist | Pathologist | Professional Coach
Dr. Ursula Lang is Board Certified in both Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology and has focused her career at the interface of science and medicine. After finishing her clinical training at UCSF and Stanford, she pursued a combination of post-doctoral research training in melanoma biology and continued to build her clinical skills as a dermatopathologist in an academic setting. She has seen first hand the stressors that academic careers can disproportionally have on women and minorities. She saw the transformation it had in her own life, and made it a part of her life mission to share this knowledge and tools with others.
Dr. Lang has been immersed in coaching for the last four years and has over 1,000 hours of training and experience. She is an integral part of the wellness committee within her department and a leader in the anti-racism efforts at an institutional level. She has mentored and coached numerous medical students, residents and fellows over the past fourteen years.
Dr. Lang has won numerous awards for her research and has over 25 peer-reviewed publications and review articles. She has found coaching around time management, perfectionism and relationships to be integral to the process of finding a fulfilling work-life balance.
She is now dedicated to helping other Latina physicians and scientists live their dreams and purpose through coaching and teaching mind management tools.
